MAMA!

I was pleasantly surprised today when I heard a distressed "MAMA" from Noah today at my friend Melissa's house. He was standing in the doorway of the bathroom and I immediately took him in to sit on the potty. His diaper was already wet, so I praised him for asking to go and told him it was ok that he didn't make it. Much to my surprise, he actually had made it to the bathroom in time to poop on the potty!!!! I was so excited...if I never have to change another poopy diaper it will not hurt my feelings. I of course realize that this means that Noah is growing up, but in all reality isn't that what we all want our children to do...for if they stayed children forever, what would be the accomplishment in that? And the other alternative to growing up I don't like much either....
