My grand Entrance

I went into labor on May 5th before I left for work at the cytogenetics lab. I called my mom to let her know that I was in labor. Saturday morning I was still in labor, so my mom, grandma, Aunt Barby, and my sister Amy came up to Gainesville to be with Matt and I during my labor. My gramma took this photo of the rest of us in our apartment.
Around 3:30 my contractions became closer together so we went to Sweet Dreams for some ice cream before the hospital.
We moved on to the mall and walked around there for about 30 minutes. My contractions seemed to be consistent at about 3 minutes apart so we went to across to the hospital to get checked. I was only 1-2cm at that time so they sent me home. I began to throw-up when we got home and got really dehydrated. We arrived back at the hospital around 10pm and they admitted me for IV treatment. Around 7am they broke my water because I was finally 7cm, but my labor still did not progress. Around 8am they gave me pitocin to help my labor progress. I started pushing around 9am.
On Sunday May 7th, 2006 at 9:52am Noah Matthew Bolin entered this world, with no epidural might I add, weighing 7lbs 8oz, measuring 20.25 inches long, and looking a lot like his Grampa Dave.

Noah's Blog

This is my first time having a blog, so you will have to bear with me... Matt and I wanted to create this site so that our friends and family can keep up with Noah.
