Santa

Daddy Matt and I took Noah to the mall to have his first encounter with Santa Clause. It was fun and I will have a picture or two to post at a later date!!! Also, if you would like an easy way to get to our Shutterfly albums, I created a link on the side of this page. If it asks you for a password and you do not already know it, just call or email me and I am happy to give it to you!

Pulling up, crawling, sitting up!

With in the last week Noah has made some huge developmental changes. He starting pulling himself up to standing when he is in his crib. This forced us to have to lower the crib mattress. He also began crawling, and do I ever mean crawling...He is into everything now: the Christmas tree, the dog's crate, electrical cords (those are his favorite!), books, and shoes (another favorite, but more easily moved out of reach!). Noah has also come to love his baby Beethoven by baby Einstein. I can now tell you what is on the screen when certain parts of Beethoven's 1,2,4, and various incidental pieces are on the screen...This means that I am either watching Noah watch this too much, or I am having Noah watch it too much...I haven't figured out which is true yet, but I know this is a way to occupy him for at least 20 mins. I put him in the jumperoo and he is contained and content. I said I wanted him to be crawling by Christmas and they always say be careful of what you ask for...I guess I should heed this advice more often. The final step was getting himself from the crawling position to sitting...He has been working on this for awhile and finally got it last night. He now very patiently walks his hand back until he can muscle the sitting position.

Noah 7mo. on the 7th of Dec.

Well today marks the 7th months Noah has been in our lives (outside of the womb that is). Yesterday, while I was on the phone to UF, he pushed himself from sitting to standing on the arm of the chair I had him sitting in! I was WOWed! He is still trying to get the hang of crawling, but does do a fabulous job of moving anyway. Forward, back, and round in circles have all been mastered. The last to come is the syncrinization of the arms and legs. He has also mastered the "mamama's" in his daily chatter. We have started baby sign following ASL. Noah really seems to be soaking it up! It may seem hoaky to those of you who haven't seen the results (as it did to me), but believe me it save much frustration for you and the baby. My niece Brilei used sign language and it was so nice to know when she was hungry, thirsty, finnished or wanted more. Well that is all for now. I still have yet to upload the pictures to the previous posts, but have not forgotten that I have not...until then...

Noah talks!

Just now as I was talking to gramma Sue, Noah said mamamama and then proceded to say dada! This all came out in what seemed like the same sentence.

Pictures you'll 'Fall' for of our Little Pumpkin...

We took Noah to the pumpkin patch at Gramma Sue's church on the 29th. These pictures came out so well! On the 30th Noah and I went to the mall to meet up with some of the mom's from the luncheons and their babies...it turned out to be all boys! We had fun visiting with the moms and babies and all of the boys looked so cute!!!

Update on Noah

Well a lot has taken place since the last post. Noah is sitting up un assisted now. He still falls over when he reaches for things though. The Bolins- Dave, Pam, Neil, and Mavis, and the Jensens- Pete and Mary all came down Oct. 18-25th. They were quite surprised at how much Noah has changed since they saw him last. On the 21st Noah had his first rice cereal at Gramma Sue's house. My "Baga", Amy, Johnny, Brilei and Barby were also present.

12.5 hrs!!!

Last night after Noah ate around 7:30 he was so asleep I figured that I would lay him down to nap until he woke up to eat again. Ten o'clock came and went and he still had not woken up, so Matt and I decided to go on to bed and had resolved our thinking to a middle of the night feeding for sure...I awoke around 5am and Matt had just been in to check on our little one from which there had not been a stir...He was still asleep and the best part still alive! I had to pump at this point because it had been 10hrs for one side and about 13.5hrs for the other side since I had some relief. As our night, or should I say morning continued Matt got up to go to work around 7:30 and still no signs of wakening in the other room. By the time Matt called to let me know he had made it to work, Noah had come alive and was diligently eating his morning meal. His eyes were swollen a tell-tale sign of a good nights sleep!

Do I see a tooth?!?!

As Noah has been telling us for a little while, I believe I see his first tooth emerging from his lower gums. His drooling and out of the ordinary fussiness were keying me into this momentous occasion that is upon us... Will the nursing continue as planned or will it be cut short by untimely teething??? Only time will tell...

Lots of Firsts...

This was a big weekend for Noah. Saturday, while mommy was at work, Noah rolled over five times in a row. That evening, Amy, Brilei, Noah, Matt, Bran Dee, Krystle, Jessica, and I all went to the Gator game vs. So. Miss. It was the first time in "The Swamp" for Amy, Brilei and Noah. After church on Sunday, we all went to hang out with our friends Joel and Jen Searby and Noah went swimming for the first time. Pictures to follow...
