An Ambulance for Noah?

Well my 24th birthday will be one to remember! We picked my mom up from the airport and came home. My mom, Matt and I were all talking and Noah climbed up onto his gator chair and then fell off backwards onto his back on the cold air return vent. He of course started crying as Matt ran over and picked him up. As I came over to assess the situation, Noah's eyes rolled back in his head. I started yelling, "something is wrong with him!" as I ran to call 9-1-1. My mom immediately started monitoring him also and his eyes rolled back for a second time. At this point I had dialed 9-1-1 three times and nothing was happening. I promptly screamed at Matt, "what in the heck do you call here," assuming that there must be another emergency number. Matt assured me that 9-1-1 was the way to go, so I tried again. I guess the forth time is the charm here in Iowa because I finally got through. She dispatched an ambulance and as we waited, for what seemed like eternity, Noah calmed down and Matt took him outside to play with ladder ball (the store bought version of Norwegian Golf). As the ambulance wizzed by our house and my mom chased after them, I called 9-1-1 again to let the dispatcher know that they had passsed house and once again the call did not go through. I tried 3 more times and finally I got the dispatcher. After I told her that they had passed our house, I also let her know that I was having a time getting through to her. The EMT's (volunteer I might add) checked Noah's vitals and saw that his pupils were reactive and said that he looked good. Since it was my birthday, Gramma and Grampa Bolin were driving up. They of course saw the ambulance and were worried only to be reasured when they saw us all standing behind the ambulance and not jumping into it.

On a lighter note, Noah is now signing please, thank you, milk, food, more, finished, and can point out where your nose is (thanks to Baga). He also knows how snapping fingers should work, although he doesn't quite have it down yet taught by Uncle James. Our white, picket fence is starting to take form in the front yard. It is going to look so good thanks to Matt with lots of help from grampa Neil. Well that is all for now. Hope you enjoyed the story.

Margarita's?

We went to Kansas City to see Josh and Krystle this weekend. We had so much fun getting to visit with them and Josh's family. Seeing them makes us miss Gainesville even more, but we are loving being close to so much family here.

Well I have a couple of funny stories to tell from our trip. First I will start with our game of Hand and Foot. Krystle and I totally dominated Josh and Matt. We only played two rounds because it got so late, but I believe Krystle and I were up by 3000 points. Again this time, Josh was holding onto threes to make a set:)

The second funny story is why this blog is titled "Margarita's?" The five of us went out to eat at a restaurant called Margarita's.

Our server Jessica is the new love of Noah's life. I have never seen him flirt and giggle like he did when Jessica came around. He was definitely in love! Krystle took pictures of us there and pictures of Noah and Jessica, so when she gets home she is going to email them to me and I will upload them so you can see what a beautiful girl Noah loves!!!

The 4th was a real shiner!!!

On the night of the 3rd, Noah was playing in the tub when he fell into the side of the tub. It actually broke the skin and Noah had his first black eye.

On the fourth of July we went to Shell Rock and watched the parade. Then we went back for the fire works that night. Noah really enjoyed them. Many other kids were upset by the noise, but he loved them and clapped and pointed during the entire show.

Each fourth I am going to take a photo of Noah so I can have a good reference for how much he grows every year of life.

Last Year's Picture- Noah 2mo.
BTW Noah also had his 8th tooth come through on the bottom right on June 2nd. He has had cold-like symptoms for a few days now and I don't know if he really has a cold or if it is just the teeth, however he took two, three-hour naps today! He was a tired little guy! We are still working on the house. I hope to get some pictures tomorrow which I will of course promptly load onto the blog;) Tonight is the first time I have loaded pictures with our "slow" (compared to cable internet we had in g-ville) internet and man is it slow... We miss everyone in Florida lots, but we are traveling to Kansas City on Saturday to spend some time with Josh and Krystle. We are excited! We are having a good time with all of the family here in Iowa though. We will be at Sarah's 1st birthday party on Saturday which is the main reason we are going down to see Josh and Krystle. We will be half way to KC at the party so we figured- what the heck, we might as well go the rest of the way to see some good friends! Matt is having a slow start to his job- he hasn't really started yet- but we are trying to be patient. Matt is doing a better job at patience than I am- imagine that! Well hopefully I will be back on here tomorrow to load house pictures!
